-image-Reputation Of Our Beaches: Is Defense Worth The Price

America is the greatest country in the world. We are afforded great freedoms, provided with incredible opportunity and have the right to disagree. Defense is not our greatest joy but is a necessity of life in a world where control and power are the addiction. Wars from the 60′s until modern day have been the focus of contentious debate. We have suffering and starving in America and yet we protect others from the same. Our borders are more secure today than ever in our history but at what cost. As the land of immigrants, we have lost our way, our work force and our reputation by defending our beaches with prejudice and propaganda. We are such a passionate people that this was not our intent. We fight for the little person, the underdog, those folks that cannot protect themselves. In the process, however, we felt victimized because of the cost to our economy, our communities, and our soldiers.

There is no culture in the world that is not victimized by war. It may begin as an attempt to protect and defend but last longer than the ideology can withstand. All war begins with greed and ends with poverty, pain and loss. Is there ever a winner? Without America’s reputation as the greatest armed forces in the world, maybe there would be fewer challengers to our title. If you tell a bully in the courtyard that, you are the strongest there will always be a challenger.

I believe in America, I believe in our passion, kindness and sense of community. How do we maintain those values without war? Reputations stand with time-honored respect when they provide role models, values and personal examples of industry, adaptability and humanity. This defense is worth an investment in calm and united problem solving for all.
